Energy Resource Planning
Your virtual energy manager.

It runs every asset on your site, from storage and on-site generation to your solar, wind and grid connection, and pulls power from wherever it is cheapest and cleanest at any given minute.

The virtual energy manager

The software that runs your microgrid.

A microgrid ties everything on site, including your storage, your renewables and any local generation, into one system you can run from a single screen. 247 ERP is the layer that runs it. Minute by minute, it decides when to charge, when to discharge, when to lean on the grid and when to run on your own power, so the site stays supplied at the lowest cost and the lowest emissions.

It can run in grid-parallel mode, sitting alongside the utility grid, or in island mode, running on its own when the grid drops. A bit of machine learning keeps it adapting as your generation and consumption shift across the year, with no extra workload and no specialist knowledge needed on your side.

Microgrid building blocks

Three building blocks, one brain.

247 builds private and public microgrids from a few core technologies. ERP is the brain that ties them together and hands you the controls.

Production

Baseload Production

Makes power when solar and wind fall short, at low cost and low emissions, so the site never goes dark.

Planning · the brain

Energy Resource Planning

Runs every resource to keep your cost down and your supply steady, and hands you the controls for all of it.

Storage

Energy Storage

Banks surplus wind and solar in a long-life, non-lithium battery and gives it back when you need it.

What ERP does

One platform, full control of every resource.

ERP keeps your kWh cost down, keeps the lights on, and gives you one screen to watch and run every resource on site.

Cost-first planning

Charges when power is cheapest, whether that is the grid or your own generation, then shaves peak-demand charges off the bill.

Live monitoring

Real-time status for every rack, inverter, cooling unit and power supply, with state-of-charge and health down to the single rack.

Energy flow & metering

Shows power moving between building, battery, solar and grid, with live metering and the history behind it.

Price aware & trade ready

Tracks live wholesale prices and integrates with energy-trading solutions, so the battery buys low and sells high on its own.

Weather aware

Logs local weather through the day and feeds it into cooling and dispatch decisions, so heat never eats your performance.

No-code rules engine

Up to 20 conditions across 10 programs switch the whole setup automatically, with no programming on your part.

Full-stack orchestration

One protocol drives the storage, inverters, lighting, LED status bars, fire system, doors, UPS and power supplies.

Logging & diagnostics

Continuous event logging, plus playback of recorded data so you can replay a fault and find it fast.

Built for critical infrastructure

A control core that already runs grids.

Under the 247 interface sits an industrial control platform that already runs energy and grid infrastructure around the world. You get that reliability, delivered as one 247 system.

  • Open to your renewables. The core is one of our own 247 solutions, and your solar and wind assets plug in alongside it.
  • Speaks the right protocols. MODBUS plus the main energy standards (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-101/104, DNP3), so it talks to grid and trading systems directly.
  • Secure by design. Role-based access and encrypted communication keep data safe and lock out anyone who should not be there.
  • Built to stay up. Redundancy and hardening throughout, for high availability you can rely on.
  • Scales with you. Run one installation today and a fleet of sites and substations later, all from one application.
What it watches over

Six function groups, watched end to end.

Every signal in the installation gets grouped, watched and acted on, from overall energy flow down to a single faulty cable.

01

Energy flow

Charging, discharging, peak shaving, grid and solar availability, demand against capacity.

02

Sensors

Inside and outside temperature, humidity, per-cell and per-inverter readings, shock detection.

03

Fire safety

Detector signals, pre-alarm and alarm activation, manual triggers, surge-protection status.

04

Access control

Entry-door and double-door sensors, keypad access, alarm arm and disarm states.

05

Technology

Battery, inverter, cooling, lighting, LED, communication, GPS, fuse and cable integrity.

06

Monitoring & service

Maintenance schedules for cooling, battery, inverter and fire systems, plus software and firewall status.

Why it earns its place

Lower bills and steadier supply.

−Peak

Shifts load to the cheapest hours on its own, so peak-demand charges stop hurting.

24/7

Keeps power on through grid-parallel and island operation, backed by redundant power and cooling.

≈0

Leans on stored renewables and on-site generation first, pushing fossil-fuel use toward nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions.

What is 247 ERP?
Energy Resource Planning is the software side of 247 Energy. It is a virtual energy manager that watches and runs every energy asset on your site from one place.
Does ERP only work with 247 hardware?
The core is always one of our own 247 solutions, such as our storage or production. On top of that, your existing solar and wind assets can be integrated, so ERP runs the whole picture rather than just our part of it.
How does ERP lower energy costs?
It charges when power is cheapest, whether from the grid or your own generation, cuts your peak-demand charges, and connects to trading solutions so it can buy and sell against live wholesale prices.
What is the difference between grid-parallel and island mode?
In grid-parallel mode it works alongside the utility grid. In island mode it runs the site on its own when the grid is not there.
Do we need programming or energy expertise to use it?
No. You set up to 20 conditions across 10 programs without writing any code, and ERP adapts on its own as your usage changes.
How does ERP communicate with equipment?
Over MODBUS and the main energy standards (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-101/104, DNP3). That lets one system run the storage, inverters, cooling, lighting, fire system, doors, UPS and power supplies.
Is it secure?
Yes. Role-based access, encrypted communication and a redundant, hardened setup keep data safe and unwanted visitors out. Our Safety and Cybersecurity work sits behind it as well.
Can it manage more than one site?
Yes. One installation or a whole fleet of sites and substations, all from a single application.
How does ERP fit with the other 247 solutions?
ERP is the brain that ties our C&I storage, utility-scale BESS and LNG production into one microgrid, with safety and cybersecurity built in.
