This datasheet defines our reference platform, not a boundary. Every storage system we deliver is sized and configured to the specific requirements of your project — energy capacity, inverter rating, container format, and integration scope are all determined in close collaboration with your engineering team. Our systems scale from 100 kWh to multiple MWh. Made to order means every system performs exactly as your grid, load profile, and site conditions demand.

Common Questions.
- Is the inverter included in the SuperCap 250-1000 kWh range?
- Yes. The 250-1000 kWh range includes the inverter as standard: 75-125 kW for the 250 kWh unit, 125-250 kW for the 500 kWh unit, and 250-500 kW for the 1000 kWh unit. No additional power conversion equipment is required.
- Can multiple SuperCap 250-1000 kWh units be combined for MW-scale installations?
- Every multi-unit project is designed to order — the system architecture is sized and engineered around the specific business case, load profile, and grid connection requirements of your site. There is no fixed catalogue configuration for MW-scale; our team defines the configuration around what your project demands.
- What is the round-trip efficiency of the 1000 kWh unit?
- The 247 SuperCap 1000 kWh unit achieves 98% round-trip efficiency, the highest in the SuperCap range. The 250 kWh and 500 kWh units deliver 97,1%. All figures are measured at beginning of life at 25°C.
- How does the 250-1000 kWh range perform in high-temperature environments?
- The system discharges across -20°C to +60°C without active cooling. In ambient temperatures above 40°C, the EMS manages operating parameters to protect cycle life. No chiller or additional HVAC is required.
- What are the primary applications for the SuperCap 250-1000 kWh?
- Primary applications include industrial peak shaving, frequency regulation (FCR and aFRR), solar and wind energy buffering, port and shorepower infrastructure, inland navigation vessel charging, and decentralised energy management for large commercial and industrial campuses.
- What does the 15.000-cycle projected life mean in practice?
- SuperCap technology carries a warranty of 10.000 full charge-discharge cycles (and an estimated life of 15.000 cycles) with no meaningful capacity degradation. At a typical duty cycle of 1–3 cycles per day, that translates to a projected operational life of 25–30 years — well beyond the economic horizon of the facilities and infrastructure it serves.
- How large is the 1000 kWh container and what does it weigh?
- The 247 SuperCap 1000 kWh is a standard 20-foot container format weighing 13.581 kg fully equipped. Standard container handling equipment is sufficient for delivery and positioning. A level hardstanding is the only ground preparation required.
- Is the SuperCap 250-1000 kWh eligible for EU energy storage subsidies or CAPEX grants?
- Eligibility depends on the specific programme and jurisdiction. The Benelux design and assembly origin and high European component content (70%+) position the range favourably for IPCEI, European Green Deal, and national subsidy schemes that specify European manufacturing provenance as a condition of eligibility.
- What remote monitoring and EMS capabilities are standard on the SuperCap 250-1000 kWh?
- Every unit includes on-board EMS and BMS with real-time monitoring, automated safety controls, and remote access via the Weidmuller UC20-M3000 EDGE controller. Remote monitoring, alert management, and performance reporting are available from day one of commissioning without additional hardware.
