The Port of Antwerp-Bruges

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges handles more than 280 million tonnes of cargo a year. We are headquartered here; and building the energy infrastructure that keeps it moving.
Port environments are among the most demanding energy contexts in Europe. Shore power for vessels at berth. High-power crane and conveyor operations with massive regenerative braking loads. ATEX-certified zones where conventional battery systems are prohibited. Inland navigation charging along the Albert Canal and the Scheldt. 247 Energy supercapacitor technology was engineered for/in exactly this environment: fast charge, fast discharge, continuous cycling, ATEX certification available, and an operating range that handles the temperature extremes of open-air quayside installations without active cooling. Being headquartered at Europe's second-largest port is not a postcode. It is the proof of concept.
