Chevron believes in gas as a transition fuel versus wind or solar.
Chevron has multiple liquefaction projects in Australia and Africa. And is one of the biggest LNG exporters and operator of liquefaction projects in those countries. The sharelholders voted in favour of a non-binding resolution calling on the company to reduces emissions generated by the use of its products. But these energy majors have been lowering emission by their own. Chevron planned to invest some $3 billion into lowering emissions in the next five years.
